ATD Nebraska presents:
Values-Based
Time Management
________________________________________________________________________
Often we view time as an adversary we have to overcome. We are continually telling ourselves that we don’t have enough time or we are too busy to do the things we really want to. We play the “someday game,” convincing ourselves that someday we will have more time and that’s when we will accomplish those bigger goals and dreams.
The big myth in time management is the idea that by simply getting creative and consistent about how we budget our time, big things will happen. The truth is that good time management is just as much about being clear on what not to schedule.
So much of what we hear about time management focuses on “what” to do more of or less of, sometimes resulting in our losing sight of whether all of that is in alignment with “who” we are and who we want to be. In the 1-hour program, we will explore the relationship between values and time, and how we can take our values from being a passive internal guide to using them as a strategic tool to drive meaningful achievement.
In the 2-hour workshop, we will take the high-level concepts from the program and put them into action. During this time you will have the opportunity to work with your values-time ratio to define misalignments and create strategies for dealing with those. This workshop will also review some of the most common time “mindsets” that keep us stuck such as the voice of perfectionism, the myth of control, and limiting beliefs and triggers that can pull us off track.
