Gamification - Learning Design Applications
ATD Nebraska members may attend ASTD-Lincoln events at member pricing. Visit www.astdlincoln.org to register and enter the member code.
When designing the task that you want to complete, it’s possible to implement game-like elements into your training to make it more enjoyable and fun, while at the same time potentially increasing retention. This is the concept behind gamification. If done properly, gamification encourages growth and can provide learners with intrinsic motivation that goes beyond learning to earning levels of achievement. Participants in this training will learn what gamification is and how they can apply it in their business or industry.
As a result of this session participants will be able to:
- Define gamification
- Apply gamification in a learning environment
- Identify learning activities that would benefit from a gamification application or amplification.
