 ATD Nebraska presents:

Shortening the Distance:
The Whys and Hows of Storytelling

Presenter:  Rita Paskowitz
 ________________________________________________________________________

Who says you’re not a storyteller? Certainly not Rita Paskowitz! Join her for an interactive hour of storytelling – then stick around for a workshop where you will create stories of your own.

It has been scientifically proven that the shortest distance between two people is a story. We respond to a well-told tale as though we are actually experiencing it ourselves. That explains why interviews and presentations built around stories are so successful. Yes, facts and figures are important but without the context that a story provides, they are simply words and numbers.

With her infectious energy and humor, Rita promises to engage, entertain, edify, and empower you – so put the April 13 ATD meeting on your calendar today. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

This session will provide members and guests with professional development opportunities in regard to Training Delivery, Performance Improvement, and Coaching.

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Characterize why stories work
  • Identify and demonstrate a short story

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize a story
  • Evaluate the needs a story must fill
  • Co-create a company story
  • Perform a short story of their own
