Afternoon Session: 1:00pm to 5:00pm

Designing Training Materials & Resources

Facilitator: Michelle Kosmacek

Training is intended to be useful well beyond the classroom. The content is rich and the materials are polished. But are they really useful? Do your training materials and resource guides translate into useful supports when your participants are back on the job? This session, with Michelle Kosmacek, will focus on creating materials with the end user in mind and fine-tuning "grab and go" resources that will allow your participants to be successful well beyond your training. Learn how to modify the training materials to best fit the learner, create materials that support learners beyond the class, and create materials to fit the participants’ needs.

By the end of the afternoon session, attendees will be able to:

  • Modify training materials to best fit the learner
  • Create materials that will support the learners beyond the class
  • Identify participant needs and create materials that fulfill those needs
