THE NEW TRAINER: ECOSYSTEM, MINDSET, &
CRITICAL SKILLS
Talent professionals have a critical role in helping organizations build success through their people. But the world of training is changing. Fast. To be successful in tomorrow’s organizations, trainers must navigate the new ecosystem, develop a new mindset focused on results, and deploy indispensable skills that are evidence-based and digital. In this session, Jonathan Halls will look at what has and hasn’t changed in the learning profession, explore the mindset tomorrow’s trainers need for success, and list the indispensable skills every trainer needs on their resume.
This session will be part philosophical and part practical.
MORE DETAILS ON THE CONTENT
The new ecosystem: The transition from traditional classroom to learning on demand when it’s need is just about complete. Learning is now global yet personal, flexible but aligned to business need, and based on evidence-based methods. (Mirrors shift to post-industrial era.
The new mindset: It’s about success in business, not success in the classroom. Trainers solve business needs by making learning personal to the learner. They deploy evidence-based learning solutions, evaluate business results using them to refine their work, and communicate value to clients.
Indispensable skills: business partnership, science of learning, digital media skills, evaluation skills. They are flexible and deployed through physical and virtual classroom, coaching, eLearning, and digital content.
