What are the characteristics of highly effective workplace learning and performance (WLP) professionals? More research has been conducted to learn about effective teachers than for learning professionals.  As the learning function continues to be scrutinized in our challenging economy, it is important to ensure we offer the most value to the organizations we serve. What can learning professionals learn from current research?

Join us as ASTD-Lincoln welcomes back Dennison Bhola who received our chapter's Program of the Year award in 2009 and the Best of the Best Learning Event in 2010 for his exceptional presentations. Dennison will present findings from 3 years of research conducted by HUMANeX Ventures.  Participants will learn what HUMANeX Ventures has identified as the distinguishing characteristics of highly effective teachers (of students in grades K-12), and engage in activities to explore which of these characteristics are beneficial to workplace learning and performance professionals. This will be an enjoyable session that will stimulate thinking at the most complex levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. Participants will leave with a list of desirable qualities that effective learning professionals possess.
