ASTD NEBRASKA presents:

Two-Dimensional

Approach to

Learning Objectives

Presenter: Dr. David P. Byers

The infamous Bloom's Taxonomy was revised in 2001 by one of the developers of the original taxonomy. How do these versions differ? Can they be used in conjunction with one another?

In this interactive presentation, participants will utilize critical thinking skills to examine the differences between Bloom's original taxonomy and the revision published in 2001.

An analysis of the elements of adult learning theory sets the stage for determining the benefits of a two-dimensional approach for learning objectives.

Dr. David Byers is an Associate Professor at Bellevue University.  He is currently in charge of the undergraduate degree in Adult Education.

Dr. Byers has been in the training and development fields for 30 years. He holds a master's degree in Adult and Continuing Education and he has a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Teaching and Learning.
