For many of you, developing others is your passion but in doing so, your own progression in your role and in your career may be unclear or is non-existent. The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is an organization devoted to talent development professionals and serves as one-stop shop for education, networking, and career growth. But where should you start? The Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification is focused on basic knowledge across talent development and is great for early-career professionals wanting to make their mark on the profession. The Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) certification (formerly CPLP) has been around for 15 years and earners demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and ability to apply and analyze talent development concepts to real-world case studies. Both certifications can serve a purpose in your career progression and you can learn how to take the first step in this presentation.
