As leaders and managers you should focus on being an influential leader, not a powerful one. You should develop your teams to have the power. Developing self-directed teams means they can solve MOST of their problems, they can resolve MOST of their team conflict, they can think outside the box in a creative manner that is proactive and not driven by micro-managers that hover over them constantly. Your team will be accountable for overall success not just responsible for their own individual piece. They will allow you, the manager, to focus on your strengths and skill to actually MANAGE....

Learning Objectives:

  • Difference between team building and team development.
  • The four stages of team development.
  • Transition problem solving from you the leader to the team.
  • Build accountability not just responsibility in the team.
  • How to build purpose and significance into each team member.
